Account Manager (Japanese-speaking)
Are you an experienced Account Manager, fluent in Japanese and English, looking to take the next step in your career? Oxford PharmaGenesis is expanding our client service capabilities across the Asia–Pacific region and we are looking for a talented Account Manager to support our partnerships in Japan.
You will oversee the delivery of a wide range of medical communications and publications projects, including manuscripts, abstracts, posters and oral presentations, ensuring high-quality deliverables and smooth cross-cultural collaboration.
You will also contribute to business development by supporting proposal development, pitches, capability presentations, client meetings, conference activities and other initiatives that help to advance our regional growth. A key part of this role is to communicate our specialist services confidently and to articulate our value to our clients in Japan.
Candidates with Japanese language skills but with account management experience gained in other sectors are encouraged to apply. We will also consider candidates with medical writing experience and Japanese language skills who are interested in supporting our expanding work and client engagement in Japan.
You will ideally be based in Melbourne, but you could also work remotely in Australia or New Zealand. Periodic travel to Japan and within the region will be required.
We are looking for an Account Manager who ideally has:
- experience in medical communications account management, gained in agencies, pharmaceutical companies or healthcare communications
- a proven commercial mindset, including confident day-to-day client liaison
- a proactive, solution-focused mindset, with experience overseeing budgets and financial processes
- fluent Japanese and English, with the ability to navigate nuanced client discussions that require clarity, judgement and cultural awareness
- excellent relationship building and stakeholder management skills, with strong organization skills and attention to detail
- working knowledge of the Japanese pharmaceutical industry and Japanese business culture.
