About the role

Are you a practical, hands-on individual with experience in facilities maintenance? Do you take pride in keeping spaces safe, secure and well-maintained? We have a fantastic opportunity for you to join Oxford PharmaGenesis as a Facilities Caretaker at our office in Tubney, Oxfordshire.

As a Facilities Caretaker, you will play a key role in maintaining our office buildings and grounds. From carrying out small repairs and setting up meeting rooms to conducting security and health and safety checks, you’ll help to create a safe, welcoming and efficient working environment. Some heavy lifting and occasional travel to central Oxford will be required.

Working hours: 30 hours per week, ideally 07:30–14:30; however, we can offer some flexibility for the right candidate.

Requirements: a personal vehicle with business insurance (mileage covered by the company).

Key responsibilities:
  • building and grounds maintenance, including small repairs and general upkeep
  • security and safety checks, including fire alarm testing and emergency lighting checks
  • meeting room set-up for training sessions and team events
  • contractor liaison (e.g. heating and plumbing services)
  • delivery and package handling
  •  occasional travel to deliver or collect office equipment.
 
We are looking for a talented Facilities Caretaker who has:
  • experience in facilities, property or grounds maintenance
  • basic repair skills and confidence in carrying out small maintenance tasks
  • a proactive, reliable and friendly attitude
  • good awareness of building security and health and safety issues.
