About the role

Principal Medical Writer

Are you a talented medical writer who is looking for a new challenge, the opportunity to expand your skillset and a role in which you will be a key member of a collaborative team?

One of our teams, who focus on a broad range of project types including publications, medical affairs and value demonstration deliverables for multiple clients, is looking for a Principal Medical Writer or Consultant to create and deliver high-quality communications.

This role offers the opportunity to work on a diverse sets of project types, lead some of the client accounts, plus train and potentially manage junior writers. Experience of client liaison and line management would, therefore, be beneficial, along with a highly team-focused approach.

We pride ourselves on adhering to the highest of standards for our clients and you will make a valued contribution to our continuing success. You could work from either of our Oxford offices or remotely in the UK. 

We are looking for a talented Principal Medical Writer who has:

  • a science degree (PhD advantageous), preferably in life sciences
  • experience in a writing-focused role in the medical communications sector, preferably in a variety of deliverable types, including publications
  • an interest in good publication practices (e.g. GPP2022 and ICMJE)
  • a passion for communicating science
  • a ‘can-do’ attitude that supports great teamwork.
