About the role

One of our busy teams in London is growing and is on the lookout for a Communications Team Leader to join them. You might be a Principal Medical Writer looking for greater responsibility with team leadership, content oversight and close client relationships. Come and join us for the next step in your career!

In this role, you will drive content excellence for the team’s main account, focused primarily on publications, but this will also include some workshops, meetings and digital content.   

We are looking for an individual who can liaise confidently with our clients, providing strategic counsel and advising on content. You will review the work of others and support the development of more junior team members.

We are looking for a talented Communications Team Leader who has:

  • a science degree (science PhD advantageous), preferably in life sciences
  • extensive medical writing experience within a medical communications agency, across a diverse range of communication materials
  • experience of managing, mentoring and developing individuals
  • experience in managing project financial performance; costing projects, discussing and agreeing costs with clients
  • good knowledge of Good Publications Practice best practice guidelines and the International Committee of Medical Journal Editors recommendations
  • good knowledge of Association of the British Pharmaceutical Industry code of conduct
