About the role

Oxford PharmaGenesis has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Associate Medical Writer or a Medical Writer to join our growing team. You will support a leading client with projects related to cardiovascular, renal and metabolic diseases.

You'll develop manuscripts, abstracts and congress presentations, while working closely with a highly collaborative team and building strong relationships within a long-standing client partnership. As the account continues to evolve, there may also be opportunities to contribute to projects on obesity and related metabolic diseases. Depending on your experience, you’ll contribute to publication planning activities and gain exposure to wider strategic discussions, while continuing to develop your scientific and communications expertise.

This is an excellent opportunity to work on high-impact science, contribute to meaningful publication programmes and learn from experienced colleagues within a supportive team environment.

The team is based in our Oxfordshire office, and we are looking for someone who can join us there 1–2 days each week.

We are looking for an experienced Associate Medical Writer or a talented Medical Writer who has:

  • a science degree (PhD advantageous), preferably in life sciences
  • writing experience in medical communications
  • experience in cardiovascular, renal and metabolic diseases (desirable)
  • the ability to develop, clear, accurate and high-quality scientific content
  • excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple deliverables effectively
  • strong communication and relationship-building skills, with a collaborative approach to working with clients and colleagues
  • an interest in developing expertise in publications.
